Across four schools—Pella, Pella Christian, Knoxville, and Melcher‑Dallas—students stepped up, crowds showed up, and together those students earned a $13,075 donation for their schools. With 28 student participants, this year marks the second-highest donation total in the history of Bucks for Baskets.

Students earned a total of $3,100 which will be added to the total from the first Pella vs PC event ($4,725) and then split between the two schools. With this event included, our donations to Pella and Pella Christian since 2004 have now reached $159,950.

Our Bucks for Baskets season made another exciting stop—this time at Knoxville High School, where Panther pride filled the gym and students took center stage to support their school! Together, they earned a $3,225 donation for Knoxville’s Student Activity Fund!

Marion County Bank hosted its second annual Bucks for Baskets event at Melcher-Dallas High School. With the crowd cheering them on, the students delivered an outstanding performance—setting a new record by earning a $2,025 donation to the Student Activity Fund at Melcher-Dallas Schools!

Since 2007, Marion County Bank has offered their Report Card Debit Card Rewards Program as a way to support local schools. This year, the grand total donated to all schools reached $579,575.64. The donation for 2025 totaled $80,273.06.

The final whistle has blown on this year’s Bucks for Baskets events, and what a fun season it’s been! Our last stop was at Pella High School on Friday night, where eight students took center court during halftime of the Tulip City Showdown, raising an impressive $3,325 for their school’s Student Activity Fund.

The energy was high at Tuesday night’s Knoxville vs. Chariton basketball game, and it didn't stop at during halftime. As soon as the half came to a close, Knoxville High School students took center court for Marion County Bank’s Bucks for Baskets, turning their basketball skills into real support for their school.
