Marion County Bank's Shop Local Challenge

Shop Local. Win Local. Spend local.

This time of year is one of the best times of the year to experience everything our local businesses have to offer. From holiday open houses and community celebrations to finding the perfect gift, there are plenty of reasons to shop the local businesses in Pella, Knoxville, Melcher-Dallas or wherever you call home.

At Marion County Bank, we're proud to support the small businesses that invest in our communities every day. That's why the #MCBShopLocalChallenge is back.

This year, we're giving away $600 in local Chamber Bucks throughout the challenge, helping turn your support of local businesses into even more dollars spent locally.

How to Participate

It's simple:

Pick up your Shop Local card. Cards will be available at all Marion County Bank locations beginning November 2.

Visit six local businesses. Take your card along and have an employee at each business initial a circle and write the business name. You must visit six different businesses, but no purchase is necessary.

Turn in your completed card. Return your card to a Marion County Bank location and you'll be entered for a chance to win. The earlier you complete your card, the more opportunities you'll have to win!

Shop Local. Win Local.

Make Local Part of Your Holiday Season

You don't have to go out of your way to complete the challenge.

Take your card along as you enjoy the holiday season. Visit local open houses. Browse during community celebrations. Shop Pink Friday and Small Business Saturday. Explore Living Windows, the Christmas Tree Lighting, Tour of Stores, Tour of Homes, Kerstmarkt, or simply spend an afternoon checking names off your holiday shopping list.

Shop in Pella. Shop in Knoxville. Shop in Melcher-Dallas. Shop wherever local takes you.

Your six businesses can come from any community. Where you return your completed card determines whether you're entered in the Pella or Knoxville $100 drawings.

Why Shop Local

Local businesses do more than sell products and services.

They're our neighbors. They employ local people. They support schools, nonprofits, events, teams, and organizations. And they help make our communities places people want to live, work, visit, and call home. They are the heart of our community.

That's why this challenge isn't really about filling six circles on a card.

It's about making the decision to choose local during one of the busiest shopping seasons of the year.
