Join us as we celebrate Debbie and her 35 years of service at Marion County Bank.
For Debbie Shaw, banking has always come back to one thing: relationships.
Over 35 years, Debbie has served in multiple roles, adapted through plenty of change, and built the kind of customer relationships that only come with time and trust. Today, as a Retail Banker, that connection remains one of the things that defines her work.
Retail Manager Shannon Long described Debbie as a great team player, someone willing to take on new projects and share the knowledge she has built throughout her career. But what stands out most is the way Debbie serves her customers.
Sometimes people stop in simply because they want to talk to Debbie.
That says a lot.
Lisa Walters reflected on Debbie's years with Iowa State Savings Bank, where she held several different roles, and the transition to Marion County Bank. Debbie even spent time working in our Pella location after the banks came together.
Through it all, Lisa described Debbie as reliable and steady, with a quiet sense of humor that those who know her have come to appreciate.
After 35 years, Debbie's favorite part of the job hasn't changed much.
“What I really love about working here is the relationships with coworkers and customers. It’s what it’s all about.”
Those relationships are also a reflection of the impact Debbie has made. Thirty-five years represents a tremendous amount of knowledge, change, conversations, and customers served. Through each season, Debbie has continued to be someone her coworkers and customers can rely on.
Congratulations, Debbie, on 35 years of service, and thank you for everything you've contributed along the way.
We celebrate with you today.
