For nearly 50 years, our bank has proudly invested in the future of our communities by awarding scholarships to local students — and 2025 is no exception.
This year, we awarded $750 scholarships to five outstanding students from Pella Community High School, Pella Christian High School, and Knoxville High School. In addition, we recognized one local homeschooled student. Our annual donation to Melcher-Dallas graduates was shared evenly among all participating students.
“It’s such a joy to celebrate alongside these students and recognize all they’ve achieved,” said Diane Roose, Sr. Vice President Residential Loans and current Dollars for Scholars Board Member. “Handing them a scholarship on behalf of our bank is our way of saying, ‘Well done. We know you will do great things.’”
Since 1977, our scholarship program has honored dedication, hard work, and potential. The students selected represent the values we hold dear — commitment to growth, community, and excellence.
“These kids are the future of our community, and we’re proud to support them,” said Kevin Bolt, Bank President. “Helping them take that next step in their education is one small way we can show we believe in them.”
