Join us in celebrating Allison Van Wyngarden and her 10 years of service at Marion County Bank!

Ten years ago, Allison Van Wyngarden began her journey at Marion County Bank—and over the past decade, that journey has reached nearly every corner of our organization. As Kevin Bolt shared during the celebration, Allison is a rare example of someone who has truly experienced the bank from top to bottom, having worked on all three floors and across three different departments.

Allison’s path began in retail, where she built a strong foundation serving customers and supporting her coworkers day in and day out. From there, she moved into loan processing, gaining a deeper understanding of the lending side of the bank. Eventually, Allison found her home in marketing—a role that blends her creativity, organizational knowledge, and heart for people.

In January of 2024, Allison officially joined the marketing team full time. As Ryan Vos, Marketing Officer, reflected on that transition, it was clear that Allison’s move felt natural to everyone involved. Even then, her colleagues recognized what she brought to the table: a deep understanding of the bank, a collaborative spirit, and a willingness to step in and help wherever needed. As one teammate jokingly put it at the time, if the news surprised anyone, they must have been “living under a rock.”

Ryan also shared an analogy—comparing Allison to “laminin.” While microscopic in size, laminin plays a massive, unseen role in holding the human body together. It strengthens connections, provides stability, and ensures healthy growth. It's even described simply as the biological "glue." In much the same way, Allison works behind the scenes, quietly holding things together. From bringing marketing concepts to life, to supporting staff and community events, to coordinating projects and details that others might not even see—her impact is felt everywhere.

In fact, when Ryan invited staff to raise their hands if they’ve ever worked with Allison—from planning events and staff outings to supporting community initiatives—it wasn’t long before every hand in the room was raised. That’s the mark of someone whose influence reaches far beyond a single role or department.

As Allison reflected on her time at the bank, she shared what has made the last 10 years especially meaningful to her:

“I feel humbled and blessed to have been part of the Marion County Bank family for the last 10 years. I’ve had the privilege to get to know so many customers, business partners and co-workers along the way which is what has made these years so enjoyable.”

Allison, thank you for ten years of service, for your willingness to grow and adapt, and for the quiet, steady way you make Marion County Bank a better place to work. We are grateful for your commitment, your faith-filled approach to serving others, and for being the “glue” that helps hold so much together.

We celebrate with you today.
