Shop Local. Win Local. Spend Local.
The holiday season brings some of the best opportunities to experience our local businesses.
From holiday open houses and community celebrations to Pink Friday and Small Business Saturday, there are plenty of reasons to shop close to home. That’s why the #MCBShopLocalChallenge is back.
And this year, we’re keeping the prizes local too.
Throughout the challenge, we’ll give away $600 in Pella Bucks and Knoxville Chamber Dollars, putting those dollars right back into the local businesses that help our communities thrive.

Take the Challenge
Starting November 2, pick up a Shop Local card at any Marion County Bank location.
Then it’s simple:
- Pick up a card → Visit 6 different local businesses → Turn it in.
- Have an employee at each business initial your card and add the business name. No purchase is necessary, and your six stops can be wherever you like.
- Once you turn in your completed card, you’re eligible for upcoming drawings.
The earlier you enter, the more chances you have to win.
$600 Stays Local
We’ll celebrate local shopping throughout the holiday season with multiple winners:
- November 17: $100 Pella Bucks + $100 Knoxville Chamber Dollars + a MCB Shop Local Tote for each
- December 1: $100 Pella Bucks + $100 Knoxville Chamber Dollars + a MCB Shop Local Tote for each
- December 8: One grand prize winner receives $200 in their choice of Pella Bucks or Knoxville Chamber Dollars, plus a MCB Shop Local Tote.
If you win one of our $100 drawings, you’ll still be eligible for the grand prize.
Completed cards must be returned by 4:30 PM on December 7.
Make Local Part of Your Holidays
Take your card along while enjoying Living Windows, Christmas Tree Lighting and Tour of Stores, Pink Friday, Small Business Saturday, Tour of Homes, Kerstmarkt, holiday open houses, or simply an afternoon of Christmas shopping.
The challenge is fun, but the purpose behind it matters even more.
Local businesses employ our neighbors, support our schools and organizations, sponsor local events and teams, and help create communities where people want to live, work, shop, and visit.
Every local stop matters.
And this year, even the prize money comes back around to support them.
