Due to COVID-19, there has been less coin coming into banks from businesses and less coin being made by the US Mint. As a result, banks are experiencing a coin circulations slowdown. To help us manage this slowdown, we are offering a free treat to anyone who brings in $25 or more in unrolled coin to be exchanged for bills or deposited into an account.

You may ask what to do with that extra money you’ve been collecting, and we’re glad you asked! Below is a list of 10 ways to use that change once you bring it in and exchange it for bills:

1. Start a savings account.
2. Make a local purchase.
3. Donate the money to a non-profit.
4. Put the money towards bills.
5. Use the money to go out to dinner.
6. Pay it forward.
7. Spend it during tax free weekend.
8. Add it to your emergency fund.
9. Save it for holiday gifts.
10. Add it to a vacation fund.

All coin must be unrolled (loose change), free of debris, and brought into our offices in Pella, Knoxville or Melcher-Dallas to be processed through our coin counting machines. As always, there is no fee to count coins, even for non-customers! This promotion will last through Saturday, August 15.
