Marion County Bank’s halftime entertainment at the Pella vs. Pella Christian basketball games earned the schools a $8,100 donation from Marion County Bank.

Students from both schools and four Pella police officers worked together in the event by shooting layups, free throws, three pointers and half court shots to earn a donation from Marion County Bank.

A shootout donation of $5,100 was won at the November 30 Pella vs. Pella Christian game and $3,000 was won at the January 28th game for a combined total of $8,100 this season. These winnings will be split evenly between the high schools.  Marion County Bank thanks the 12 students, Lt. Shane Cox, Lt. David Beukelman, Office Josh Boone and Officer Nathan Wolff for participating in the halftime event.

Since 2007, over $107,000 has been given to Pella Community High and Pella Christian High from Marion County Bank during the halftime events.
